Prayer walking is simply taking your conversation with God on the go. As you walk through your neighborhood, pray for the people who live there, ask God how to pray for your neighbors and listen for any prompts that come to mind. Invite God to fill our communities with the light of His loving presence. Contend for the people around you to come to know God’s saving grace trough Jesus. Ultimately, Give God the opportunity to share His heart with you for your neighbors and community. Go in faith that your prayers are preparing the way for the Lord and His transformative work among us!

You can click on the buttons on this page or find links to download the app on the main page of the Holy Here website. There is both an Apple and Android version.

Once downloaded, click the “start walk” button and then click “sign-up”

Enter your email, name and create a password.

Simply open the app, click “start walk”, and begin your walk. When you are finished, click on “end walk” and your journey will be recorded on the map in red.

You can jot notes and impressions down from your walk in the app by click the the “notes” button during your walk.

The app will track your activity. Click on the bottom left person icon to see how many walks you have recorded, how many miles you have logged, and how much time you have spent prayer walking!

The bottom right book icon will take you to resources and other information about the app.

Click on the praying hands icon in the bottom center at any time to return to your prayer walk.

You do not need to sign up! However, if you would like to add your prayer walking hours to our prayer log, we’d Iove to have you submit them or write them on the sign in sheet on the table by the prayer room. You can label the location as Prayer Walk.

You can certainly pray however you are led. Our intention in preparing the way for the Lord is to ask God to give us His heart for the places we walk and the people who are there.

Secondly, we can ask God to use us to be an answer to prayer however He leads us.

As we take our prayers to the streets, it is like we are building a highway for the arrival of the King…we walk and pray, and He will come in and inhabit our heart and the places we walk and fill them with the light of His transforming love.
